Nestled in a peaceful Exford valley, Westermill is a family-run working farm since 1938.
Surrounded by Exmoor’s rolling hills and the River Exe, guests can experience daily farm life, see sheep, cattle, hens, and red deer, and enjoy the tranquillity of this beautiful countryside base.
Westermill offers six charming, wood-burning cottages — an idyllic base for walkers, nature lovers, and those seeking peace and relaxation.
Campsite Facilites
Westermill’s campsite is tucked into a secluded valley at the heart of Exmoor National Park, spanning around 15 acres divided into four fields.
You camp on mown meadows beside the River Exe and enjoy private access to about two miles of the river for paddling, fishing, dam-making, or simply cooling your feet. One special feature is that there are no fixed pitches — you choose where to pitch when you arrive — and you may park your vehicle next to your tent. The fourth field has fire pits already set up for campfires, and BBQs are allowed (so long as they’re placed off the ground).
