Whortleberry Cottage is a cosy retreat for up to four guests, set in the bottom paddock next to Ling Cottage and beside a larch copse that attracts wild birds. Named after the blue whortleberry of Exmoor, it features a verandah perfect for summer evenings—or winter nights—under the Dark Sky.

Inside, the living area has a comfy sofa, two armchairs, a pine dining table with farmhouse chairs, a second table for a desk, a TV, and a wood-burning stove. The alcove kitchen is well-equipped with hand-built pine units, an electric oven, microwave, and fridge. Full central heating and hot water come from our eco-friendly biomass boiler.

Upstairs, two twin bedrooms with pine furniture and beamed ceilings share a bathroom, while the main-floor shower room includes a tiled cubicle and heated towel rail.
